The Samsung ice maker problem is real: French-door models from roughly 2010-2020 (RF263, RF28, RF22) freeze up, leak onto the freezer floor, or quit entirely. We replace the assembly with the updated revision part and check the drain path while we're in there. This design can still act up later, but most owners choose the $250 fix over a $2,500 fridge.
4C or 4E on a Samsung washer (WF45, WA48, WA52) means it can't fill fast enough. Before you book: check the hose behind the machine isn't kinked - that's the answer half the time and costs nothing. If the hose is fine, the cause is usually the inlet valve or an inlet screen clogged with sediment, which Bay Area water supplies plenty of. A scaled screen throws the same code as a dead valve, so we test the valve before anyone pays for one.
A Samsung dryer (DV45, DV52) that tumbles cold has either a burned-out heating element or a thermal fuse that tripped because the vent is choked with lint. We replace the failed part and inspect the whole vent path, because skipping the vent check means the new part dies within weeks.
LE or LC means the leak sensor in the base pan got wet - or thinks it did. Usually there's a real small leak (a hose, a gasket); sometimes the sensor is just gummed up with detergent residue. We pull the kick-plate and look with a flashlight before quoting anything, because those two diagnoses cost very different amounts.
Samsung gas ranges (NX58, NX60) lose ignition two ways: burner switches wear out around year 5-7 (front burners first - they do all the work), and oven igniters fade around year 7-9. We test the actual component, replace just what failed, and most positions take 30-45 minutes.
